Across Colorado, communities are finding practical ways to stretch existing water supplies, from transforming landscapes and investing in efficient infrastructure to updating local policies and building stronger community support for conservation.
On October 20, WaterNow, waterloop, the Colorado Municipal League, and Colorado Water Conservation Board are bringing many of those communities together for the Resilience in the Rockies Summit at CSU Spur in Denver.
The half-day summit builds on Resilience in the Rockies, a four-part docuseries featuring 12 Colorado communities that are advancing water conservation as a long-term water supply strategy. Attendees will see highlights from the series and, more importantly, hear directly from the local leaders behind the projects about what worked, what they learned, and how other communities can put similar approaches into practice.
Interactive panel discussions will explore landscape transformation, innovative financing and infrastructure investment, local policy and governance, and community engagement. The program will also include opportunities for peer-to-peer discussion with municipal and utility staff, policymakers, and other water leaders from across Colorado.
