DENVER, COLO. – The Colorado Municipal League (CML) Executive Board has appointed Windsor Mayor Julie Cline to fill a vacancy in the Medium Municipality category, representing communities with populations between 8,000 and 49,999. Cline was approved by the board in October and will serve through June 2026. As an appointee, Cline may seek election to continue serving in the role when the term expires in June.
"I am honored to be selected to serve on this statewide board and grateful for the opportunity to represent medium municipalities,” said Mayor Cline. “The Colorado Municipal League CML is an important tool in municipal planning and knowledge. I am committed to protecting local decision-making, supporting good governance, and strengthening collaboration among municipalities of all sizes.”
Cline has served as Mayor of Windsor since June 2024, following four years on the Town Board. Her municipal service began in 2013 on Windsor’s Water and Sewer Board. She brings 25 years of experience in strategic alliances at HP Inc., with a professional background in negotiation, budget management, and building partnerships. Cline holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi. Her regional involvement includes service with the Windsor Downtown Alliance, North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization, US 34 Coalition, I-25 Coalition, GoNoCo34, and Upstate Colorado.
“Mayor Cline's long career in management, government, and partnerships will bring a valuable perspective to the Executive Board as we continue supporting Colorado’s cities and towns,” said Kevin Bommer, CML executive director. “She brings a Northern Colorado perspective and an understanding of the transportation, infrastructure, and economic development needs shared by neighboring communities. She is an excellent addition to this Board."
