Large crowds turn out to pay respects to Ken Bueche

Between the funeral vigil the evening of Thursday, July 24, and the funeral mass the following day, a sea of faces paid respects to Ken Bueche, executive director of CML from 1974-2005. Even more tributes and statements of support came from those who were unable to attend. It was a fitting testament to his commitment to family, faith, community, and Colorado municipalities.

In addition to the majority of those that were there as members of the family, the Bueche’s church community, and their extensive network of friends many in attendance were current and former CML board members and staff. Among the many photos and other items displayed honoring Ken’s memory were some from his days with CML and publications he authored over the years.

Kevin Bommer, the current CML executive director hired by Bueche in 1999, paid tribute to him at the Thursday vigil at the family’s request. His remarks can be read here.
