Denise WhiteAfter three years of service to the Colorado Municipal League, Engagement and Communications Manager Denise White will transition from her role later this month to return to municipal service in local government. Her last day with CML will be April 22.

“Denise started in the midst of CML’s 100th anniversary and had to plunge right into our annual conference celebrating the milestone,” said Kevin Bommer, CML executive director. “She inherited a long ‘to-do’ list and succeeded in raising the bar on the League’s training and outreach efforts.”

Since joining CML in 2023, White has led strategic communications and engagement efforts supporting member municipalities and associate members across Colorado. Her work has included strengthening member communications, enhancing training and conference programming, and building systems to support more consistent outreach. She played a key role in developing and leading the rollout of two CML Executive Board president initiatives, Civility Starts Here and Back to Basics, which emphasize the core principles of effective local governance and continue to serve as foundational resources for members.

White will step into a new communications and outreach role in municipal government, continuing her work in local government from the municipal side.

“Serving municipalities and supporting local leaders has always been at the heart of my work,” White said. “CML provided a unique opportunity to contribute to that mission at a statewide level, and I’m grateful for the relationships built and the work we’ve done together.”

CML thanks White for her contributions and dedication to advancing the organization’s mission and supporting Colorado communities. She will remain connected to CML as a member in her new role.
