CML staff traveled over 2,500 miles this fall to connect with municipal members across Colorado. Throughout the last month, our team crisscrossed the state — visiting Cheyenne Wells, Dolores, Silt, Center, and Trinidad (to name a few) — to participate in our Fall District Meetings with local government leaders and staff.
These gatherings were so valuable. We heard directly from you about the unique challenges facing your communities, as well as your successes. We shared important updates about CML trainings, the impacts from the recent special legislative session, the importance of participating on the CML policy committee, and what to expect in 2026.
One of the best parts? Watching elected officials and municipal staff from neighboring communities connect and share ideas. Many of you discovered you're dealing with similar issues, which led to some productive conversations about solutions. It's always helpful to know you're not tackling these problems alone. The face-to-face time made a real difference too. Members took the opportunity to chat one-on-one with CML staff about specific resources, shared pressing municipal issues, and made sure we understood what matters most to your communities.
Our host municipalities deserve special recognition and thanks for organizing great meetings and showcasing local vendors, entertainment, and attractions. Experiencing these local highlights is one of the best parts of these meetings.
CML remains committed to providing these opportunities for our members to come together, share knowledge, and build the partnerships that make Colorado municipalities stronger. Your participation and input are essential to our mission, and we're grateful for the time you took to meet with us this fall.
Thank you to everyone who attended. We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting your communities in the months ahead.
