Associate Member Spotlight: SL Environmental Law Group works for cities & towns

SL Environmental Law Group works with public agencies to shift the cost of contamination away from taxpayers to the chemical manufacturers responsible for the pollution, helping communities invest in the infrastructure they need. Since 2003, the firm has helped more than 400 clients recover over $2 billion through settlements and trials.

SL Environmental Law Group is actively representing more than 300 municipalities, utilities, airports, and other agencies nationwide in litigation against PFAS manufacturers. As part of the firm’s extensive involvement in the ongoing Aqueous Film‑Forming Foam multi‑district litigation against PFAS manufacturers (MDL No. 2873), it has already helped secure over $1 billion in settlements for drinking water agencies in Phase 1 of the 3M and DuPont settlements alone. Additional recoveries are expected from the water settlements as well as from other types of contamination claims, such as those concerning municipal wastewater, airports, firefighting facilities, and landfills.
