WaterNow: Building Colorado's Water Future, One Community at a Time

Colorado communities are finding new ways to secure long-term water supplies while keeping costs affordable and protecting the places people call home. Alongside traditional water infrastructure, communities are increasingly investing in One Water strategies—such as water efficiency, green stormwater infrastructure, landscape transformation, water reuse, and watershed protection—that strengthen resilience and deliver multiple community benefits.

WaterNow works with cities, towns, and utilities to make these approaches the norm. Through place-based projects, technical assistance, funding navigation, policy initiatives, and peer learning, we help communities implement innovative local water solutions that advance resilience, affordability, and sustainability.

One of our cornerstone programs, Project Accelerator, provides 250 hours of pro bono technical assistance to help communities move high-impact projects from concept to implementation. We're excited to welcome City of Loveland Utilities as one of our newest Project Accelerator partners. Together with River Network, we'll work with the City to develop and pilot an outreach strategy that strengthens relationships with HOA leaders, expands participation in existing water efficiency programs, and unlocks lasting community-scale water savings by engaging some of Loveland's largest shared landscapes.

Resilience in the Rockies (Square 2)
Many of the Colorado communities we've partnered with through Project Accelerator are also featured in Resilience in the Rockies, a new four-part docuseries produced with waterloop that highlights how 12 Colorado communities are advancing water conservation as a long-term water supply strategy. The series culminates in the Resilience in the Rockies Summit on October 20 at CSU Spur in Denver, where municipal leaders, utilities, policymakers, and community partners will share practical lessons, innovative strategies, and real-world experiences from communities leading the way. The summit will feature docuseries highlights, panel discussions, and peer-to-peer exchange focused on scaling conservation as supply. Registration is open and we hope you’ll join us!
