Vote YES on HB23-1102
Alcohol & Drug Impaired Driving Enforcement

WHAT DOES THE BILL DO?
HB23-1102 appropriates $1.5 million annually from the MTCF to the high-visibility drunk driving enforcement program in the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for allocations to local governments that implement qualified programs. CDOT funds high-visibility enforcement for local governments and law enforcement agencies that conduct 12 enforcement episodes per year.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE YES
These enforcement episodes resulted in more than 7,000 impaired driving arrests in FY 2021, and more than 40% of all drunk and drugged arrests in the state are during CDOT’s high-visibility enforcement periods.

THE UPSHOT
The funding in this bill will allow the important work of high-visibility drunk driving enforcement to continue in our communities, which will result in safer communities across Colorado.
