Sometimes it’s easy to overlook just how many resources our state and local governments offer — and how challenging it can be to find the right one or determine eligibility when you need it. For some community members, barriers like immigration status or the complexity of government systems can also make it difficult to reach out for help.
That’s where 2-1-1 Colorado comes in. This free, multilingual service connects residents to essential support from tobacco cessation programs to guidance on public benefits they may qualify for. Beyond helping individuals, 2-1-1 Colorado also provides valuable, real-time insights into the types of assistance Coloradans are seeking most. By understanding where and how residents are accessing support, decision-makers can better target resources and make data-informed decisions to meet community needs.
There are six 2-1-1 regions across the state, each serviced by the area’s United Way or other direct services organization. 2-1-1 Colorado maintains a data dashboard that highlights what services residents are referred to, with the option to explore data by timeframe, service type, and demographic group.
