The deadline for local governments to submit a Commitment Filing for the 2027–2029 Proposition 123 cycle is Nov. 1. This state housing deadline affects funding eligibility for your local government and community partners.
The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) wishes to remind you that filing a commitment by Nov. 1 is required to ensure that your local government — along with housing authorities, non-profits, community land trusts, and private developers operating within your jurisdiction — remains eligible to apply for Proposition 123 affordable housing funding for the upcoming 2027–2029 cycle.
Key Details for Local Officials
Check your status: The Department of Housing (DOH) regularly updates the public record of Fully Compliant Jurisdictions as well as all processed Commitment Filings for the 2027–2029 Cycle.
File even if working toward compliance: Jurisdictions must submit their commitment by Nov. 1 even if current cycle requirements are still being finalized. DOH can grant contingent approval while your local staff completes compliance steps prior to Dec. 31.
Follow up with staff: Please connect with your local planning, administration, or housing staff to confirm your jurisdiction’s commitment form has been prepared and submitted ahead of the Nov. 1 deadline.
