  • In memory: Bruce Schmalz
    The League is saddened to report the passing of former Central City Mayor Bruce Schmalz. "Bruce was a wonderful person and a big supporter of CML. I remember Bruce asking me to attend one of the first meetings up in Central City where casino gambling was initially discussed. Bruce was instrumental in moving that proposal forward onto the ballot," stated Sam Mamet, CML executive director.
