Do you know a teacher?
CML and Special District Association of Colorado (SDA)’s Lessons on Local Government website continues to be very popular with teachers all across the state. This resource provides teachers with free local government resources and curriculum materials that meet the new state social studies standards, as well as prepare students to be an informed citizenry.

Local Government Poster Contest
The contest, open to 3rd and 4th graders, asks students to create an 8.5" x 11" poster showing a program or service provided by the family of local government (cities, counties, school districts, and/or special districts).
The posters connect the service Local Government to being Safe, Clean, Fun, Smart, and Helpful.
The contest is open to 20 classrooms. Teachers can refer the poster contest flyer for details. The 2016 contest will be open in the spring!
