Summary of flood assistance for cities & towns
CML is working with the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) and the other statewide local government associations (Colorado Counties Inc., Special District Association of Colorado, and the Colorado Association of School Boards) as a family helping one another.
As a reminder, some of those networks are the CML listservs for a number of municipal positions.
Use the CML Facebook page to increase your reach via social media, and to get news from CML and our network.
Contact Local Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) personnel on road and bridge issues; the Department of Public Health & Environment on water quality matters; and the state’s dam safety personnel in the Department of Natural Resources. The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) is providing technical assistance to flood stricken communities through established protocols and partnerships.
As you start to use contractors on your repair and reconstruction efforts, please remind them to use 811 in order to identify underground pipes and conduits.
HelpColoradoNow.org is a partnership of the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and Colorado Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster. Learn how to help those affected by flooding.
