About the building
The Ken Bueche Municipal League Building is named in honor of Ken Bueche, CML executive director from 1974 to 2005. The building is
his legacy and Colorado municipal leaders will be forever grateful.
The building is a short two-block walk to the State Capitol and close to Denver's downtown, yet nestled in a quiet residential area
of stately homes and apartment residences. Located in Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood on Sherman Street, we are within the
Sherman-Grant Historic District area called Poet's Row for the numerous apartment buildings built in the 1920s and 1930s
named after famous poets and authors.
The architecture was designed so the building could blend into the historic neighborhood. In particular, the striking stair tower
picks up the architectural style from surrounding buildings.
Getting here
While getting in and out of Denver can be challenging, especially at rush hour, the League's location is convenient to major
interstates and city arteries.
Parking
The building was specifically constructed to maximize parking in an area where it is very limited and expensive. With 48
on-site, free spaces, the league can handle most visitors and meetings easily with no parking headaches.
Meeting space
One of the biggest benefits to both the League and members is our meeting and workshop space. The League can accommodate
110 people theater-style and 72 classroom-style for meetings. We also have the ability to handle smaller, more on-the-spot workshops. The space has state-of-the-art audiovisual and projection equipment, and it can be divided into large and small meeting rooms to handle two different events at the same time.
Space is available for League members for meetings that pertain to municipal business.

Municipal center
If you are a member municipal official and you're visiting Denver, we have dedicated work space so you can conduct business from the League office. The center contains phones, a computer with word processing and other programs. If you are lobbying at the Capitol and are faced with a long delay between meetings, walk down the street to our offices and you can be productive during your otherwise down time.
Library
Another important feature is the centralized library area. The area is large enough to accommodate future expansion.
Handicapped accessibility
The building is handicapped accessible with dedicated parking spaces, entry ramps and an elevator. Plus, there is a prudent amount of extra space designed into the building to accommodate expansion needs or program changes at the League.
