  • Diana Allen  

    President: Diana Allen, Lakewood councilmember
    Represents large population category; term expires June 2013
    Diana Allen is a councilmember for the City of Lakewood, and serves as the public information officer for the Westminster Fire Department. She has served in a wide variety of volunteer positions including Hispanic Youth Leadership club advisor; Lakewood Foothills Rotary president; Habitat for Humanity publicity committee member; and Lakewood on Parade president, publicity chair, and board member. She has been a special events volunteer in Lakewood for Cider Days, Lakewood Arts Fest, and the Second Wind 5K, as well as serving as Mothers of Preschoolers assistant group leader and much more.

    Aden Hogan  

    Vice President: Aden Hogan, Jr., Evans city manager
    Represents medium population category; term expires June 2013
    Aden Hogan, Jr. is the city manager for Evans, a northern Front Range community of 20,000 located in central Weld County. Aden has more than 30 years of public administration experience serving in both municipalities ranging from 10,000 to 500,000 in population and in county government. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in business from Mesa State College. He has also earned the Credentialed Manager Certificate from the ICMA. Aden is an adjunct professor for the University of Colorado teaching public administration, disaster management, leadership, and ethics, and he is a frequent lecturer and keynote speaker across the U.S. and Canada.

    Marc Williams  

    Secretary-Treasurer: Marc Williams, Arvada mayor
    Represents large population category; term expires June 2012
    Arvada Councilmember Marc Williams was first elected in November of 1999 and has been reelected twice. He is serving his final term as an at-large councilmember. He has been with the law firm of Sonheim and Helm, formerly the contract city attorney and still involved in city issues, since 1979. When he became an associate with the firm in 1982, Williams became active in both the local bar association and the Chamber of Commerce. Both of these organizations gave him the opportunity for community volunteerism and a feel for the community and its issues.

    Jim White  

    Immediate Past President: Jim White, Minturn town manager
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2012
    Jim White began a new position as town administrator for Minturn at the end of July, having previously he served as town administrator in Berthoud since 2001. He was elected vice president of CML after serving as secretary-treasurer; he also serves on the CML Budget, Audit and Management Committee as well as the Policy Committee. He was a government partnership specialist for the U.S. Department of Commerce from 1998-2001, where he served as the primary representative to city, county, and state government agencies in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nevada. He is a member of the International City Managers Association and has served as a board member of the Colorado City and County Managers Association.

    Joe Baker  

    Joe Baker, Dacono mayor pro tem
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2012
    Joe Baker is semi-native to Colorado; his family moved here from Philadelphia in the autumn of 1977. He resided in the north metro area since 1997, and moved to Dacono in 2006, where he began serving on the Dacono City Council in November 2008, and was elected pro-tem mayor in 2009. He enjoys serving his community and loves living in Colorado.

    Charles Bayley, Bennett mayor pro tem
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2013
    Charles Bayley was elected to the Bennett Town Board in April 2008. Before that, he served as chair of the Bennett Planning and Zoning Commission. He represents the town on the Adams County Economic Development Council and the Colorado Water Partnership, and represents Arapahoe County on the South Platte Basin Roundtable. Prior to moving to Bennett, he volunteered on local government committees for more than 20 years. Bayley worked for more than 24 years as a corporate director of government affairs in a multistate region. He is the president of the Board of the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership.

    William Buck  

    William Buck, Mt. Crested Butte mayor
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2012
    William Buck is the Mt. Crested Butte mayor and has served on Town Council for almost six years, in addition to a term as planning commissioner. He is the current president of the Colorado Association of Ski Towns and board member for the Regional Transportation Authority in Gunnison County, as well County Housing Authority and Office For Resource Efficiency. In his free time, he is a certified adaptive ski Instructor and takes full advantage of Colorado’s outdoor opportunities.

    Stuart Fraser  

    Stuart Fraser, Telluride mayor
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2012
    Stuart Fraser was first elected to the Telluride Town Council in 2001. He ran for re-election in 2005 and for mayor in 2007. Fraser has a corporate and entrepreneurial background, has volunteered for more than 30 nonprofits within the area, and has served as a county planning commissioner. He currently serves as vice president of the Colorado Association of Ski Towns. While on council, he has focused his efforts on affordable housing, renewable energy, and environmental and economic sustainability.

    Jan Martin, Colorado Springs president pro tem
    Represents large population category; term expires June 2012
    Jan Martin was first elected in April 2007 and re-elected for a second term in April 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA in finance from Regis University. She is the owner of Martin Business Group, Inc., which specializes in information systems and business training for local organizations. She is also a part time instructor in the online MBA program at the University of Phoenix. She is a native of Colorado Springs and enjoys golfing and other outdoor activities.

    Gail Marvel  

    Gail Marvel, Montrose councilmember Represents medium population category; term expires June 2012
    Gail Marvel has been a resident of Montrose since 1953, graduating from Montrose High School in 1966. She was elected to the Montrose City Council in April 2008, and is serving a four year term. She is a veteran, having spent three years in the U.S. Navy and three years in the Colorado Army National Guard. Gail has been a test administrator for the Office of Personnel Management, served as a bailiff for the 7th Judicial District, and is an election judge for both Montrose County and Delta-Montrose Electric Association’s (DMEA) Election Credential Committee.

    Nancy McNally  

    Nancy McNally, Westminster mayor
    Represents large population category; term expires June 2012
    Nancy McNally was elected to Westminster City Council in November 2001 to serve a four-year term and was selected as mayor pro-tem in 2003. She was elected mayor in November 2005, and re-elected in November 2009. In addition to her new position on the CML Executive Board, McNally serves the community as a member of various organizations including the U.S. 36 Mayors/ Commissioners (MCC), Fastracks EIS, U.S. 36 EIS, Regional Transportation Committee, Metro Mayors Caucus, and Metro Vision (DRCOG). She also served as past chairperson of the Denver Regional Council of Governments and is currently Chair of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control and Co-Chair of the Metzger Farm Foundation. McNally is employed by Rocky Mountain 911 Driving School and is their office manager.

    Elizabeth Murphy, Carbondale trustee
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2012
    Elizabeth Murphy was elected a trustee for the Town of Carbondale in April 2010 for a four-year term. She serves on the Parks & Recreation Commission, the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce, and the newly formed Carbondale Economic Development Partnership. Prior to moving to Colorado, she worked in the healthcare industry for more than a decade for a large international pharmaceutical company. She was the founder of the Greensprouts Foundation, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting green schools in Colorado, grant researcher and writer, former publisher of The Family Playground Magazine, and co-author of a local area guide book.

    Debbie Ortega, Denver councilmember-at-large
    Represents large population category; term expires June 2012
    Debbie Ortega has been a life long civil servant, serving Denver for more than 30 years. From 1987 to 2003, she served on Denver City Council, representing District 9. In 2004, Debbie was selected by then Mayor John Hickenlooper to be the first ever executive director of Denver’s Homeless Commission. She took the lead in creating a sustainable foundation for the successful Denver’s Road Home program which is Denver’s 10-year plan for ending homelessness. Most recently, she served as the regional service director at Denver Human Services, where she managed Denver’s Road to Work employment program which trains and prepares formerly homeless and disabled individuals for employment in the hospitality industry. In May 2011, Denver citizens voted overwhelmingly to re-elect Councilmember Ortega to one of two city wide at-large seats.

    Christina Rinderle  

    Christina Rinderle, Durango councilmember
    Represents medium population category; term expires June 2012
    Christina Rinderle Thompson joined a network of talented researchers, biologists, and designers to create the first native plants nursery and nature preserve for the Colorado River Indian Tribes in southern Arizona. This nature preserve now serves as the model for wetland, riparian and upland restoration on the lower Colorado River and the entire southwestern region. In 1999, Christina moved to Durango, where she discovered her passion for in-fill, green building practices, and reuse of centrally located space. Her involvement in the community includes graduating from 2003-2004 Leadership La Plata class, facilitating local and national team building and leadership programs, and volunteering for nonprofits such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Women’s Resource Center.

    Dave Sturges, Glenwood Springs mayor pro tem
    Represents medium population category; term expires June 2012
    Dave Sturges was first elected as a councilor-at-large for the City of Glenwood Springs in November 2007, and was elected mayor pro tem in 2009. He previously served on the City's Planning & Zoning Commission for six years; before that, he was chair of the Transportation Commission for five years. He served on the Colorado Water Quality Control Commission from 1987 to 1991. He currently reporesents the City on the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments board, the Garfield County Senior Services Committee, and the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority.

    Jim Taylor, Littleton councilmember
    Represents medium population category; term expires June 2013
    Jim Taylor served on the Littleton City Council from 1977 to 1985 and again from 2001 to present. He served as an elected board member of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District from 1986 to 2000. Jim is a well-respected advocate of regionalism and intergovernmental relations in Colorado and nationally. He is the current chair of the Denver Regional Council of Governments Board of Directors and has served on the National League of Cities Board of Directors. Jim is a retired public school administrator. He is a widower with five grown children and ten grandchildren.

    Don VanWormer  

    Don VanWormer, Monte Vista city manager
    Represents small population category; term expires June 2013
    Monte Vista City Manager Don Van Wormer was recently selected by CML Board President Michael Penny to chair the CML Water & Wastewater Committee. Van Wormer also serves as immediate past president of Upper Rio Grande EDC, current president of the Monte Vista Chamber of Commerce, Rio Grande County Board of Health board member, Downtown Colorado Inc. board member, and advisory council member for the San Luis Valley Small Business Development Corp.

    Karen Weitkunat, Fort Collins mayor
    Represents medium population category; term expires June 2013
    Karen Weitkunat was elected as Mayor of Fort Collins on April 5, 2011; however, she is no stranger to city council, as she previously served eight years representing District 2. She also served four years on the Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board and various other boards and committees including the Poudre Fire Authority, Downtown Development Authority, and the Housing Authority. Over the last four years, she served on the Colorado State Housing Board and the Larimer County Planning Commission.
